Giuliana Rancic Back to Work After Double Mastectomy

by Mary, December 29, 2011 05:03am Giuliana Rancic has returned to work just two weeks after undergoing a double mastectomy.

"Back at work today since surgery," the E! News host tweeted. "Excited to be on set of @ENews. I've missed my 2nd family (co-workersnd you guys!!!) #thankful."

Rancic, who announced her breast cancer battle this fall, underwent the four-hour double mastectomy procedure on December 13. According to her husband, Bill, the doctors are reporting that there is a less than one percent chance that the cancer will reoccur.

For Rancic, 37, returning to her hosting job at E! News is an important part of her recovery process.

"Even though I moved a tad slower than usual today, everyone welcomed me back with open arms and it was a wonderful homecoming," she said in a statement on the network's website. "Thankfully, I've been feeling better every single day since surgery and this weekend my doctors gave me the green light to get back to work."
